Domenica Matranga
Domenica Matranga is Associate Professor of Medical Statistics at the University of Palermo (Italy), since 2015. Nowadays, she is the Coordinator of the UNIPA Laboratory of the Centre of Healthcare Research & Pharmacoepidemiology. She is author of more than 90 publications, indexed on Scopus and ISI Web of Knowledge, and reviewer of more than 15 scientific journals. She is expert of statistical surveys, and her research interests are Bayesian modelling, efficiency and efficacy evaluation of Healthcare, socio-economic determinants of health, health inequalities and epidemiology of non-communicable diseases. She was speaker at several national and international statistical conferences and participated to National and European research projects. Currently, she also collaborates to the FORTHEM Project (Fostering Outreach within European Regions, Transnational Higher Education and Mobility, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union) as leader of the UNIPA Laboratory for Resilience, Quality of Life and Climate Change.
