METEOR researchers Anke Boone, and Olivia Lavreysen, representing KU Leuven, attended the 15th European Public Health Conference in Berlin. During the conference, they presented their work on burnout, turnover, and retention of healthcare workers, while also taking the opportunity to learn about the state of European health from various perspectives, including research, policy, education, and practices.
The European Public Health (EPH) Conference is an annual scientific event dedicated to public health. This year’s conference, titled “Strengthening Health Systems: Improving Population Health and Being Prepared for the Unexpected”, was held in Berlin, Germany, from November 9th to 12th, 2022. The conference attracted 2,544 delegates from 77 countries.
Throughout the conference, attendees had access to 7 plenary sessions, 123 workshops, and 53 sessions, providing ample opportunities for sharing research findings, exchanging knowledge, discussing policies, and showcasing best practices in public health and healthcare services across Europe.
