METEOR researchers Anke Boone from KU Leuven, Domenica Matranga, and Laura Maniscalco from UNIPA, participated in the inaugural workshop of the Health Workforce Projects Cluster. The workshop aimed to maximise outcomes achieved by five research projects, promote mutual learning from each other’s experiences, and strategise joint efforts.
The Health Workforce Projects Cluster brings together five research projects, co-funded by the European Union’s Health Programme, focusing on task shifting, addressing medical deserts, and implementing health workforce retention policies. Alongside METEOR, other members of the HWF Cluster took part, including AHEAD, OASES, ROUTE-HWF, and TaSHI. The first Cluster workshop took place on January 25th, 2023, in Utrecht, Netherlands, and was organised by the ROUTE-HWF project leader – NIVEL.
During the meeting, researchers presented their respective projects, emphasising the anticipated results and potential impacts. The participants, which also included HaDEA and DG SANTE officers, engaged in discussions, exploring ways to cross-fertilise findings and collaboratively devise strategies to enhance cooperation, streamline communication and facilitate dissemination activities.
