On 11 October 2021, an online seminar was organised by AXA on mental health at the workplace, including the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of healthcare workers. Dr. Niti Pall (HARBR Board chair, Senior advisor digital health AXA Emerging Customers, Medical director KPMG global healthcare practice) explains that ‘the profound effect the crisis has had on health professionals has been with the younger doctors and nurses particularly. They described it as almost like being in a war.’
In addition, AXA created a full immersive virtual experience to explore thought leadership publications and interviews with researchers, business experts, NGO and government leaders from around the world. Experts discussed the stigma around mental health and different ways to break it, at both individual and societal level.
Speakers of the online seminar include, amongst others, the coordinator of the METEOR Project Prof. Dr. Lode Godderis from the KU Leuven.
